Terms and Conditions

Welcome to The Two Tailed Lion Loyalty Scheme ("the Scheme"), operated by Leicester Freehouses Limited, trading as The Two Tailed Lion ("we," "us," or "our"). These terms and conditions govern your participation in the Scheme. By joining, you agree to these terms.

1. Eligibility

    1. The Scheme is open to individuals aged 18 or over who are UK residents.

    2. Employees of Leicester Freehouses Limited or their immediate family members are not eligible.

    3. You must register for the Scheme via our mobile app to participate.

2. How the Scheme Works

    1. Earning Points: You earn 1 point for every £1 spent on qualifying purchases at The Two Tailed Lion.

    2. Qualifying Purchases: Points are earned on food, drink, and other eligible items purchased in-person at The Two Tailed Lion. Exclusions include gift cards, gratuities, and purchases made through third-party platforms.

    3. Purpose of Points: Points are used solely to track progress toward achieving and maintaining loyalty tiers (see Section 4). They have no other purpose and cannot be redeemed directly for rewards, cash, or other benefits.  

    4. Promotional Offers: From time to time, we may offer promotions for extra points. To participate in these promotions and maximize your benefits, you must be opted into notifications via the mobile app.

    5. Points Tracking: Points are tracked via our mobile app. You must be present, present your membership via the mobile app, and personally pay for the transaction at the time of purchase to earn points. Bar staff may request valid ID to verify your identity. We reserve the right to withdraw your membership if you attempt to use your membership for a transaction paid by someone else (e.g., another person provides payment or money is exchanged between individuals after the member pays). Points cannot be added retroactively unless a dispute is raised (see Section 4).  

    6. Points Expiry and Carryover: All points reset to zero on 1 January each year, except for points earned above the minimum required for your current tier. Any points exceeding your tier’s minimum threshold will carry over as your starting balance on 1 January of the following year. For example, if your tier requires 300 points and you earn 325 points, 25 points will carry over to the next year.

3. Transaction Disputes

    1. If you believe points were not correctly awarded for a transaction (e.g., missing points), you may email a copy of your receipt to management@thetwotailedlion.com within 30 days of the transaction.

    2. We will review the dispute and may award points at our discretion. Our decision is final, and there is no appeal process for disputes regarding missing points.

4. Loyalty Tiers

    1. The Scheme has four tiers based on points earned in a calendar year:

      1. Cub: 0–149 points (0-49 in 2025)

      2. Hunter: 150–449 points (50-114 in 2025)

      3. Guardian: 450–999 points (115-249 in 2025)

      4. King: 1000+ points (250+ in 2025)

    2. Once you reach a tier, you retain that tier status for the remainder of the current calendar year and the entire following calendar year.

    3. Tier Adjustment: If you do not earn enough points in a calendar year to maintain your current tier, your tier will drop to the next lower tier (e.g., from King to Guardian, Guardian to Hunter, or Hunter to Cub) for the following year.

    4. Tier levels are reviewed annually based on points earned in the current year. Points carried over from the previous year count toward your tier for the new year.

5. Rewards

    1. Each tier unlocks specific rewards, such as discounts, exclusive offers, or priority bookings, as detailed in the mobile app.

    2. Rewards are subject to availability and may have specific terms (e.g., valid dates or exclusions).

    3. Rewards cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to another person.

    4. Certain discounts will only be applied to a single eligible item per transaction. (E.g., if multiple bottles of wine are purchased. The percentage discount will only apply to one of them). 

6. Account Management

    1. You must download a loyalty card to your mobile device’s digital wallet.

    2. You are responsible for keeping your account details accurate and secure, including opting into notifications to receive promotional offers.

    3. Only one account per person is permitted. Duplicate accounts may be terminated.

7. Conduct in the Pub

    1. We expect all members to behave respectfully while at The Two Tailed Lion. Unacceptable conduct includes, but is not limited to:

      1. Verbal or physical abuse towards staff or other customers.

      2. Excessive intoxication or disorderly behavior.

      3. Damaging pub property or engaging in vandalism.

      4. Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior.

    2. We reserve the right to remove you from the Scheme and revoke your membership immediately if your conduct is deemed disrespectful or inappropriate.

8. Scheme Changes or Termination

    1. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Scheme at any time. Notice of changes will be provided via the mobile app or email.

    2. If the Scheme is terminated, you will have 30 days to redeem any outstanding rewards, subject to availability.

9. General Conditions

    1. Points and rewards have no cash value and cannot be sold or transferred.

    2. You must be physically present when presenting your membership for points or rewards. Bar staff may request valid ID to verify your identity.

    3. We may refuse to award points or redeem rewards if we suspect fraud, misuse, or violation of these terms.

    4. We are not responsible for lost points or rewards due to technical issues or account errors, except as addressed in Section 4.

    5. Your participation in the Scheme is at our discretion, and we may revoke membership for any reason, including disrespectful conduct.

10. Privacy

    1. Personal information collected for the Scheme will be used in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available on the mobile app or at The Two Tailed Lion.
